It was tough to not risk my fragile toe today, as the early morning southerly was almost too tempting.  Mark was first on the water as the tide pulled back from the ridge.  I managed to snap a quick shot, in the already poor light, before rain started and the gloom descended.  Hanging around to watch the inevitable carnage in the increasingly gusty conditions was never going to happen in the horizontal rain.  Mat arrived to join Mark as I was about to head home, and from the house I saw him having at least one good run out to the back.

The recovery period

Two weeks down and counting of the six weeks that the toe I broke surfing apparently needs to repair itself.

It's not unusual for me to have an excess of free time that I usually fill with surf related activities, so now that these are out I've had to find something to fill the void.  Hence the blag, which will focus on the activities of a group of mainly ageing flexibly employed, unemployed, fully employed and retired windsurfers/surfers.
